Trine University began as Tri-State Normal College in 1884 and changed its name to Trine University in 2008. It was done to honour the university's trustees, Drs. Ralph and Sheri Trine.
Trine University is dedicated to academic excellence and has been doing it for almost 135 years. The institute has continuously been named among the best universities in the Midwest by U.S. News & World Report. Graduate and undergraduate programmes are available. Allen School of Engineering and Computing, Franks School of Education, Jannen School of Arts and Science, Ketner School of Business, Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences, and College of Graduate and Professional Studies are among its five schools and colleges.
Trine University is a private university in Angola, Indiana, with a 450-acre main campus that provides everything students require. There are residence halls and university housing flats with distinctive designs that set them apart from standard dorm rooms. Within the campus, there are dining commons and various meal options. It's one of the few colleges with a championship golf course that's hosted NCAA national championships and PGA tournaments.
Trine University offers more than 60 clubs and student organisations, as well as eight fraternities and five sororities for students to join and meet people who share their interests. Angola's capital has a tranquil setting with plenty of entertainment options. When students are not in class, there are restaurants, pubs, parks, and cafes to keep them entertained.
The university has 4,646 students enrolled, and in 2019, it has a 99.4 percent employment rate, with students employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation. It has a 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio and a class size of 19.8 students on average. The institution has invested more than $155 million on campus improvements since 2000. Higher Learning Commission, ABET's Engineering Accreditation Commission, Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and the Department of Education's Office of Educator Licensing and Development (DOE/OELD) have all given it their seal of approval.
