About Maryville University

Maryville University was founded in 1872 and is located in St. Louis, Missouri, United States. In 1923, Maryville College of the Sacred Heart was elevated from junior college to college status and renamed Maryville College of the Sacred Heart. Maryville became a coeducational institution in 1968, and in June 1991, it was designated a university with the authority to offer higher education. The university has been granted official accreditation by the Higher Learning Commission.

Maryville University has approximately 10,200 students enrolled. The university has six colleges and schools that offer a variety of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees. Statistically, the university offers more than ninety degrees to students from all fifty states and 58 nations. In addition, it offers over thirty online graduate and undergraduate programmes. In addition, 93% of students receive full-time financial aid to continue their research and studies. Moreover, the average class size at a university is fifteen students. Notably, ninety percent of the university's teaching staff holds a Ph.D. or other terminal degree.

In addition to educational facilities, the university also provides students with a variety of other services. Maryville's athletic teams compete at various levels, including the prestigious NCAA Division II level. In addition to collections of reference works, databases, and periodicals, the university maintains a library with more than a quarter million volumes.

It comes with an alumni association that works to foster a sense of community among graduates to strengthen the university's relationship with its graduates. Over 20,000 alumni and current/former students are in contact with the university. Its alums are now affiliated with some of the nation's top organisations and are employed both inside and outside the country.
