DeVry University is a highly ranked private higher education institution in the United States that is owned by Cogswell Education LLC. It was founded as the DeForest Training School in Chicago in 1931 by American aviator and inventor Herman A. DeVry, for whom the institution is named. The institution evolved over the years to become an official university in 2002. The Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the Department of Education have accredited the university (U.S.). Additionally, it is affiliated with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs, the Global Accreditation Center, the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, and the Society for Human Resource Management. The university is an official member of both the USOC and Minor League Baseball.
DeVry University is a university with multiple campuses and no central location. Initially, it operated a total of 90 campuses and learning sites, of which approximately 50 were closed down subsequently. Currently, the university has 45 campuses in seventeen states. In addition, it has two military bases in Twenty-nine Palms, California, and Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. It provides state-of-the-art academic facilities, such as electronics labs with the most recent software and hardware, fully-equipped computer labs, and intelligent classrooms.
