About University of Sunderland
The University of Sunderland is a public university based in Sunderland in the North East of England. It was established in 1901 as the Technical College of Sunderland and was given university status in 1992.
The University's Education courses are ranked 2nd in the UK according to The Guardian University's 2020 league tables. The Department also conducts world-leading research in education under the new Research Excellence Framework (REF).
The University of Sunderland has strong links with business and industry, as well as a strong working partnership with a number of leading blue-chip companies.

Campus
- The University of Sunderland is a global university with campuses in four major locations in Sunderland, London and Hong Kong.
- The Sunderland campuses are the City Campus and the Sir Tom Cowie Campus in St Peter's.
- The City Campus is situated in the middle of the new city and consists of administration and support services, a library, lecture halls and sports facilities. It is also the center for the Arts and Design courses of the University and the Northern Photography Centre.
