The University of Stirling, established by royal charter in 1967, is a public university in Stirling, Scotland.

With almost half of its postgraduate population coming from abroad, Stirling welcomes foreign students from around the world. Stirling has teaching and research collaborations in more than 60 countries around the world, and more than 120 nationalities represent its diverse students and staff.

Stirling University is the Sports University of the Year (The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020) and the University of Scotland for Sporting Excellence.

The campus of the University is situated within 330 acres of grounds under the Ochil Hills, 2 miles from the center of Stirling, near the town of Allan Bridge. University of Stirling English Language Requirements:

Undergraduate:

  • IELTS – 6.0 or equivalent, with no modules less than 5.5.
    • Undergraduate Nursing: – 7.0 overall with minimum 6.5 in writing and 7.0 in speaking , listening and reading
  • TOEFL – 80 overall and no subtest less than 17.
    • Undergraduate Nursing – 100 overall with no subtest lower than 20
  • PTE – 54 overall and a minimum of 51 in all components.
    • Undergraduate Nursing – 67 with minimum of 60 in writing and 67 in
      reading, listening and speaking

Postgraduate:

  • IELTS – 6.0 or equivalent with no modules less than 5.5.
  • TOEFL – 80 overall with minimum 19 in listening, 21 in speaking, 19 in reading and 24 in writing.
  • PTE – 60 overall with minimum 56 in speaking and listening and 60 in reading and writing.

English Proficiency Test Score for International Students

All International applicants whose native language is not English are required to submit English Proficiency Test Results. However, students with a score of at least 70% in Class 12th or English being the medium of instruction during graduation need not take these tests. They have to produce proof for the same.
