About London South Bank University (LSBU)
The University of London South Bank was formed as the Polytechnic Institute in Borough in 1892. Since then it has undergone a number of names changes, becoming South Bank Polytechnic in 1970, South Bank Polytechnic in 1987, South Bank University in 1992, and finally, on September 1, 2003, it was given its current name. The University lies central London, in Elephant and Castle, the historic, lively and unique area.
The 7 academic schools of the University have a strong relationship with private and public sector companies and employers, providing training and helping students establish a useful career link. Many courses include work placements.
The LSBU provides consistently high-quality education for all for 125 years and beyond in South London.

The scholarships offered to international students are:
- International Scholarships
- Scholarship worth £1,125 is offered to students enrolled in full-time UG, PG and PhD programs. This scholarship can be clubbed with the 10% Loyalty Award and/or early Settlement Discount, wherever applicable.
- International Merit Scholarship
- A rebate up to £3,000 is offered towards 1st-year tuition fee for students studying UG and PG taught programs.
- LBSU Loyalty Award
- Discount of 10–20% is offered on the tuition fee for PG taught and research programs for the alumni of LBSU wishing to study further after graduation.
- ONCAMPUS London South Bank Merit Scholarship
- The meritorious students of ONCAMPUS South Bank willing to pursue UG study at London South Bank are offered discount of 25% on the 1st-year tuition fee and Nationality Discount of £1,125 towards 2nd and 3rd year of study.

English Language Requirements:
Undergraduate Degree:
- IELTS – 6.0 or equivalent, with no modules less than 5.5.
- TOEFL – Overall 79 and a minimum of 20 in Writing and Speaking, 18 in Reading and 17 in Listening.
- PTE – Overall 58 and a minimum of 51 in all components.
Postgraduate Degree:
- IELTS – 6.5 or equivalent, with no modules less than 5.5.
- TOEFL – Overall 90 and a minimum of 24 in Writing , 20 in Listening, 21 in Reading and 22 in Speaking
- PTE – Overall 61 and a minimum of 58 in all components.

London South Bank University Admission Process
- Application: The international students may apply by filling the LSBU application form. In absence of the preferred course in the list, UG and PG students may apply, respectively, via ‘UCAS’ and ‘UKPASS’.

UG Courses: January 15 (UCAS); June 30 (UCAS Extra)
PG Courses: There is no fixed closing date for PG courses.
- General requirements: Academic transcripts, official degree completion certificate, English language certificate.
- Additional requirements: Passport copy, current visa, 2 academic references with official stamp, research proposal (PG research students), CV.
