Established in 1949, Keele University is an open research university in Staffordshire, England. Started as the University College of North Staffordshire, it received its status of a university in 1962 by the Royal Charter. It is recognized as the largest campus in the nation with some prominent buildings and a science park.
The university's rural campus is spread over a land of 625-acre. It offers academic facilities through its three faculties, including the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Faculty of Natural Sciences and Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. It offers education at undergraduate and postgraduate levels with almost 90 percent of present undergraduates study dual honors. All international students are guaranteed on-campus accommodation if they book before the closing date, and can stay for the duration of their course if they choose to. There are four halls of residence on campus. Barnes, Lindsay, Holly Cross and The Oaks, and Horwood.
Together, these halls provide accommodation for approximately 2,800 students. Both en suite and standard rooms are available, with catered options also possible. Accommodation in the surrounding area is known to be well-priced.
