About Applied Mathematics in Yale University
The Applied Math Program is designed in the interdisciplinary setting that provides an environment with activities occurring both within and at the boundaries of many different fields, using a variety of mathematical and computational tools.
Our research group includes faculty in the Departments of Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics & Data Science, Engineering, Physics, Geology and Geophysics, and the Medical school. In total, there are about 25 members in the Program, all of whom are fully appointed in their respective departments. We also have Gibbs Assistant Professors who work closely with professors and graduate students. We run weekly seminars with invited speakers who are experts in different fields.
