About Health Sciences in University of Missouri–Kansas City (UMKC)
Our physical and economic wellbeing depends on health professionals who can improve health care access and outcomes. Our Health Sciences Program prepares students to apply their knowledge to determine how physical, biological, behavioral and environmental factors influence both individual and community health.
Our program combines urban-focused coursework in health policy, health and wellness, health program development and population health outcomes. It offers a comprehensive science-based curriculum that includes the physical, biological, behavioral and social aspects of health. You will be prepared for a wide variety of careers in health or to pursue post-graduate education.
