About Finance (international Finance) Msc in University of Westminster, London

The Finance MSc (with Banking or International Finance pathway) has been designed to meet the emerging needs of employers in the global financial services sector. This highly flexible course provides you with financial skills that are at the cutting edge of developments in the industry. 

The Finance (International Finance) MSc opens the door to a wide range of international financial careers for graduates, including financial analyst/manager, project finance, consulting, mergers & acquisitions, entrepreneur, venture capitalist and more. Our graduates are equipped with the practical and technical skills needed to work anywhere in the world, whether it be in a multinational company, financial institution or government setting. Additionally, formal classes are complemented with external speakers from industry, employability workshops, and social networking events to help prepare you for a professional career in finance.  

During your time at Westminster Business School, you will have access to our state-of-the-art Financial Markets Suite (FMS), which exclusively uses the Bloomberg platform. Here, you will receive hands-on training and apply academic theory to practice. Bloomberg is widely used in the global financial services sector, and the skills acquired during your MSc will be an important addition to your CV. 

As a postgraduate student, you will have access to the University of Westminster’s Careers and Employability Service. Our career consultants provide support with career planning, CVs & interviews, mentorships, internships, and much more. Students can use these resources for up to three years after graduation.

• You will typically need to have one of the following:

• 3-year Bachelor's degree (Honours) from an accredited university with a minimum overall average of 55% or CGPA 6.0 out of 10.0 depending on the university
• 3-year Bachelor's degree (Science) from an accredited university with a minimum overall from 58% or CGPA 6.5 out of 10.0 depending on the university
• 4-year Bachelor's degree (Eng/Tech) from an accredited university with a minimum overall average of 55% or CGPA 6.0 out of 10.0 depending on the university

English language requirements (one of the below):

•  IELTS: 6.5 overall with a minimum 5.5 in each component
• TOEFL iBT : 88 overall with a minimum of 17 in Listening, 21 in Writing, 18 in Reading and 20 in Speaking 
• PTE:58 average with 51 in each component
