The BA (Hons) Business has been developed in partnership with businesses and industry leaders to provide a mix of practical skills, knowledge and understanding of theory to help you meet the challenges of a stimulating and rewarding career.
A degree in business can open up opportunities around the world, whether running your own company as an entrepreneur, or working for a global organisation - and countless opportunities in between.
As well as providing a broad base of learning, we also offer the flexibility to tailor your degree to your interests in line with your future career aspirations. Specialist areas of study include enterprise and entrepreneurship, marketing or human resources.
BUSINESS & ENTERPRISE
Enterprise is central to all of our Business courses here at UWS; we offer professionally-focused courses, providing students with sought-after skillsets to succeed in commerce and industry.
We place a high value on promoting entrepreneurship, partnering with the Princes Trust to support our business students to become self-employed or to set up their own business.
Our recent graduates are now working with some of the biggest names in business including RBS, Shell, Ford and IBM.
COURSE DETAILS
The BA Business course at UWS offers a broad-based and comprehensive understanding of business, from theory and strategy to operational issues.
Key elements of the course include talks from, and visits to, local and national employers and varied assessment formats, including case studies and portfolio building.
Many of the course core module skills are in line with the requirements for graduate trainee programmes, helping you to prepare for a career in national and international organisations.

The UWS Business degree has been developed in partnership with some of the UK’s top employers and is designed to equip you with the skills employers need. The degree will assist entry onto graduate management programmes helping you to prepare for a career in public, private and voluntary organisations in the UK and internationally. Financial services consultants, marketing manager and retail manager are just some of the roles a business degree can unlock.
Further Study
Some graduates choose further study, leading to a Master of Science (MSc), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Research (MRes), Master of Philosophy (MPhil), Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA).
