The BSc Business Technology opens up a wide range of roles and opportunities for you with many organisations, including large blue chip international companies.
Employers require graduates who can combine sound business knowledge with technical expertise to manage, maintain and improve modern business systems. You will regularly work with real companies, which will greatly enhance your appeal to future employers.
PROFESSIONAL RECOGNITION
This course is accredited by the British Computer Society (BCS) as fully meeting the academic requirements for registration as a Chartered IT Professional. Part-time students must complete their studies within 6 years to gain BCS recognition.
PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
An optional 12-month paid placement in an organisational setting is offered, in the UK or abroad, at the end of year 2 or 3.
Short (8 to 10 week) placement opportunities are also available during years 2, 3 and 4. In recent years, students have completed placements with organisations such as Lenovo, Hewlett Packard and Oxfam.

Guest lectures from industry are included in the programme. Ann Davidson from the Scottish Institute for Enterprise recently delivered an enterprise workshop to students.
