PREPARE TO EXCEL AS A MARKETING PROFESSIONAL
The BA Business & Marketing course will provide you with the specialist skills that employers expect from marketing professionals, combined with general business skills to make you stand out.
Specialist marketing modules are complemented by a range of general business modules, which help to underpin your marketing knowledge. Economics, accounting, human resource management and law will provide you with the skills required to excel in a marketing career.
You will develop communication skills including presentation techniques, selling and negotiating to prepare you for a wide range of marketing positions.
Students completing the BA Business & Marketing are well placed to pursue Chartered Marketer status through the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITIES
In year 3 students will have the option to go on placement into an organisation in the private, public or social enterprise sector. The placement allows students to gain experience of devising marketing solutions in a real workplace

COURSE DETAILS
The BA Business & Marketing allows you to tailor your degree to focus on areas that are related to your future career aspirations including branding, digital marketing, international marketing and market research.
In years 3 and 4 you will deepen your knowledge of marketing principles and spend time with employers, providing marketing support in a live business environment. You will also complete a dissertation on a topic of interest.

UWS Business & Marketing graduates have gone on into project director, sales promotion manager, PR manager, product manager and marketing research specialist roles upon graduation.
Further Study
You can continue your studies at UWS with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specialising in marketing, or MSc in Digital Marketing or International Marketing Management. You can also pursue professional qualifications through the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) or the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR).
