Learn how to design, build and deploy apps for Android and iOS devices on this new top-up course. The course is informed by Human Computer Interaction (HCI) and User Experience Design (UXD). HCI and UXD research has impact wherever digital technologies are used at a personal level including education, domestic activity, exercise, and promoting secure on-line behaviours in users. You'll learn about and use Xcode, Swift, Android Studio, Cisco OS, Wireshark and Asterisk to build an interactive and dynamic mobile app.
We employ a blended teaching and learning approach and work to consistently to expose you to real-world industrial activity while developing essential practical skills. You will learn through a mix of lectures, interactive lectorials, lab-based practicals, classroom-based seminars, group problem-solving sessions, case studies, guest expert lectures, one-to-one and group supervision and online learning.
Most of the assessments are made up of practical coursework with some written assessments and occasional written examinations or time-constrained assessments.
