Mechanical Engineering Meng in University of Sunderland
This course covers core aspects of mechanical engineering along with their application in design and manufacturing. You will learn to apply research skills that use the latest technologies to real and current engineering problems.
You are encouraged to undertake a year-long placement between the second and third years, although it is not compulsory. Past students have secured paid placements with companies such as Jaguar, Nissan, GlaxoSmithKline, Assystem, Cummins Engines, Delphi Powertrain Systems and Tata Steel.
This is a four year integrated masters course; you will graduate as a Master of Engineering.
Teaching methods include lectures, tutorials, practical activities and project work. We encourage you to develop independent study skills. Project work will be a strong focus of the course and you will learn interactively by applying the skills you develop in our recently upgraded laboratory facilities.
As well as assessments that count towards your degree, there are also ongoing assessments for feedback and consolidating your learning. Assessment methods include exams and projects.
