Why this course?
On our MSc in Clinical Pharmacy you'll receive advanced training in the practice of pharmacy to enable you to deliver optimum pharmaceutical care and become a safer and more effective practitioner. You'll be taught predominately by pharmacists registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).

- pharmaceutical care & management of disease
- oral communication & problem-solving
- clinical, laboratory & organisational methods to monitor & assess drug therapy
- delivery of clinical pharmacy services
- application of research methods
- a research project
Learning & teaching
The course is delivered as workshops and tutorials in small group teaching. Bedside teaching on NHS premises is not available on this course.
Assessment
Each element is assessed by a series of assignments based on students’ clinical evaluations.
Facilities
The Strathclyde Institute of Pharmacy & Biomedical Sciences (SIPBS) offers an excellent environment for research and teaching. It’s located in a new building with several laboratories. All labs are fitted with modern equipment.
Academic qualification equivalents
- For entry to Strathclyde postgraduate programmes, we'd look for a first-class undergraduate degree (approx 60%) from a
recognised Indian institution.
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS : 6.5 overall, with a minimum of 5.5 in each component
- TOEFL : 80+ overall,with the following minimum scores in each component: Listening:17 Reading: 18 Speaking:20 Writing:19
- PTE : 58+ overall, with a minimum of 51 in each component
