The BSc (Hons) International Security and Risk Management course will prepare you for a career protecting people, societies and resources from risks and security threats.
You will learn how to mitigate risk using contemporary intelligence and security theories. You’ll also gain the skills to obtain and analyse intelligence from reliable sources to influence investigations.
Your studies will combine the theory and practice of international security and risk management. You’ll learn about intelligence gathering and analysis, modern day policing, terrorism and counter-terrorism, geopolitics, and cyber security. You’ll also able to distinguish between police-led intelligence activities and those of the intelligence and security agencies.
You’ll gain practical skills through simulations based on real-life scenarios, working in our Hydra Simulation Centre, Crime Scene Training Facility and Moot Court.
