About Sport Rehabilitation in University of Salford
This course allows you to apply high-level academic and practical management skills to the diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries arising from the sport and physical activity.
You'll complete a minimum of 400 hours of clinical placement, supervised by a registered healthcare or medical professional, to help you graduate confident and ready to step into the world of work.
When you graduate, you'll be eligible for membership of the British Association of Sports Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT) and benefit from the professional industry insight they provide.
You will:
- Learn to improve the health and function in people with injury, illness and disease, and to positively contribute to improving public health
- Be taught by industry experts with a focus on practical skills and small group practical sessions
- Graduate with the skills to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal injuries
- Experience a variety of settings on placement such as hospitals with orthopedic consultants, GP practices, the Ministry of Defense, private sport rehabilitation and physiotherapy clinics
