About Computer Science With Cyber Security in University of Salford
Many organisations guard large amounts of personal data, but, as recent events reveal, data breaches are on the rise. As cyber criminals use more sophisticated techniques to infiltrate I.T systems, organisations need talented people to reduce their risk and help to keep systems secure.
Computer Science with Cyber Security is one of our fastest-growing courses, designed to fill the emerging global skills gap. Taking your interest in computer science, and using a defence/attack approach, this specialist cyber focus provides knowledge of the inner workings of programmes, operating systems and networks so you understand the mechanisms of cyber-attacks. By completing specially-designed projects and modules, you’ll develop the ability to think conceptually and cultivate independent technical judgement, as you prepare for future security-related roles.
Integrity is paramount to this course. We’ll ensure you adopt a professional approach, making you aware of laws, regulations and competences needed to work with other IT professionals. You’ll be required to sign up to a code of ethical behaviour and you will be subject to an enhanced level of monitoring.
You will:
