About Msc Psychological Therapy In Primary Care in University of Dundee

This training course for psychology graduates is jointly run by the Universities of Dundee and Stirling, in partnership with NHS Education for Scotland, and a number of NHS Psychological Services across Scotland.

On completion of this masters level course trainees will be equipped with the core skills for assessing and treating adult patients who are suffering from a range of common mental health disorders, typically presenting in Primary Care NHS settings.

This highly demanding 12-month course will focus on Cognitive and Behavioural Therapy approaches and on applying evidence-based psychological interventions to the assessment and treatment of mental health problems.

Academic qualification equivalents

• Bachelor’s degree with 55% or above considered from University of Delhi, University of Mumbai, University of Calcutta, IITs and IIMs (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)

  Bachelor’s degree with 60% or above required from other institutions (considered equivalent to a UK 2.1 degree)

  A Bachelor’s degree with 50% or above may be considered comparable to a UK 2.2 degree.

English language requirements (one of the below):

• IELTS: The requirement for most undergraduate and postgraduate degrees is IELTS 6.5 overall with a 6.0 in writing and 6.0/5.5 minimum in the other three components.
• TOEFL (iBT): 88 overall, including at least 21 in Listening, 20 in Reading, 20 in Speaking, 23 in Writing.
• PTE: 62 overall, including at least 56 in all four skills
