This unique course offers an approach to dance training that will nurture your skills as a performer, dance maker and facilitator; preparing you to graduate fully equipped with the necessary skills and experience to contribute to the professional dance world.
Technique training provides the foundation of learning for all dancers on the course through Studio Practice and students engage in regular movement classes to support their physical development.
As part of your 2nd and 3rd years of study, you will deliver dance workshops in primary and secondary schools on work placements, you will shadow community dance practitioners, set up your own community based projects, participate in masterclasses with visiting dance artists and perform in work by professional choreographers, as well as making your own work. Final Year students form a Dance Company and tour performances and workshops into local schools and colleges.
