As a Medical Engineering undergraduate at the University of Bolton, you’ll have the opportunity to develop a detailed understanding of medical engineering principles and the role of the profession in relation to the real world problems of today.
This course aims to provide a comprehensive, future-proof overview of the medical engineering discipline, reflecting developments in sustainability, industry, technology, environment and society.
Studying across the subjects of engineering, mathematics and human biology, you’ll have the chance to work with international research teams and innovative biomedical technology to investigate medical equipment technology, design and test hypotheses, and assess the use of biomedical devices in healthcare.
Delivered through laboratory work, computer simulation, group activities, demonstrations and lectures, the course is designed to help you develop and apply problem solving, modelling and analytical abilities, as well as encourage stronger communication, reflection and personal development planning skills.
