About Painting BA (hons) in Robert Gordon University
This Painting degree offers you an exciting opportunity to study both the technical and contextual aspects of Drawing and Painting. You will study in our spacious studio environment which offers dedicated drawing and workshop facilities and will develop your own personal language and critical understand of the subject.
Drawing is at the core of this painting course and is embedded within the programme in a variety of ways. You will learn in an environment that encourages personal expression and interpretation as well as collaborative activity. Opportunities to be involved in industry competitions and live projects with ‘real world’ clients will provide you with invaluable practical experience. Academic qualification equivalents
- The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.
An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS: 6.0 with minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
- TOEFL iBT : 80 with minimum marks as follows: Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20
Writing - 17
- PTE:56 overall with minimum of 51 in each component
