About Nursing – Children And Young People Bsc in Robert Gordon University
As a Children & Young People (CYP) Nurse you will work in partnership with children, young people and their families, aiming to improve and support their health and wellbeing. Our course is designed to develop you as a CYP Nurse providing holistic care across a variety of healthcare and social settings.
You will mainly work with people under the age of 16 years old however our course will provide you with a wider understanding of care for individuals across the lifespan. Initially you will learn with peers in the adult and mental health fields before you develop your professional knowledge, experience and understanding specific to CYP nursing.
This field of nursing is challenging and also extremely rewarding as you can make a positive impact on people’s lives.
Academic qualification equivalents
- The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.
An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS: 6.0 with minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
- TOEFL iBT : 80 with minimum marks as follows: Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20
Writing - 17
- PTE:56 overall with minimum of 51 in each component
