About Applied Bioscience Bsc (hons) in Robert Gordon University

This course will prepare you for a career in the exciting field of bioscience. You will gain the essential knowledge and laboratory skills for an evolving profession where you can work on solving the biggest challenges currently faced by people and the planet – fighting disease, protecting the environment, and feeding our growing population.

As a graduate, you will be suitably qualified to enter a range of professions due to the study of a wide-variety of topics, including microbiology, biotechnology, bioanalysis, molecular biology and genetics, plant biology and environmental science. Because of the highly-practical nature of the course you will be well-prepared for the working world, and have the skills to adapt to changes throughout your career.

• The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.

An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).

English language requirements (one of the below):

•  IELTS: 6.0 with minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
• TOEFL iBT : 80  with minimum marks as follows: Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20
  Writing - 17
• PTE:56 overall  with minimum of 51 in each component
