About Film & Screen (screenwriting & Producing) BA (hons) in Regents University London
This interdisciplinary programme is designed to develop the next generation of scriptwriters and producers. You will gain the specialist knowledge and skills needed to work across these industry sectors.
This is a degree programme that teaches both screenwriting and producing, providing students with the skills required to navigate a vibrant and fast-moving sector.
Immersed in the industry, you will learn how all the different elements of a production come together from script to screen. You will study aspects of media law and business as well as flex your creative skills as a writer and producer.
By the end of your third year you'll have worked with your fellow students and the staff at Regent's to produce short films and create scripts for a TV pilot and a feature film. Working with students from around the world will allow you to draw on a broad range of perspectives on writing and producing. You'll develop key skills which are essential for career success as a scriptwriter-producer - or you'll discover more roles in the industry that excite you.
In addition, you will have the chance to undertake a work placement that will give you first-hand experience of working in the industry.

Academic qualification equivalents

Direct Entry to 1st Year:
Year 12 Grade – cumulative score of 65% and above.
Advanced Entry to 2nd Year:
Year 12 Grade – cumulative score of 75% and above. Advanced entry is possible on a range of courses. Student applications will be considered on a case by case basis.
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS :Overall score of 6.0 with no score below 5.5 in any of the four components
- TOEFL IBT: Overall score 80. (We do not accept TOEFL from applicants requiring a Tier 4 visa, as this qualification is no longer accepted by the UK Visas and Immigration Department (UKVI)
- PTE: Overall score of 58, with 51 or above in each individual component
