You will undertake compulsory modules in which you will:
- learn interactive digital multimedia techniques (including processing, Max MSP, Jitter or Arduino)
- study interaction and design including user evaluation methods
- study sound recording and production techniques.
You will also select three courses from a list of advanced options, covering topics ranging from advanced technical and computing skills, intelligent sensing (eg audio, vision) and robotics through human interaction, research methods, and business technology strategy.
Creative programming is at the heart of the programme, so if you have no programming experience, you will be trained in programming in the first two semesters. If you are an experienced programmer, you will have the chance to develop your programming skills further.
In the second and third semester, you will take up an Advanced Research Project, normally five months long, within a research group in the School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.
