Computer Science With Industrial Experience Msc in Queen Mary University of London
This is a multidisciplinary programme and, in addition to pure computer science modules, you may choose options where computer science intersects with other fields and build on your first degree.
You will gain experience in functional programming, and learn about semi-structured data and advanced data modelling. You will gain a basis in security and authentication, as well as Bayesian decision and risk analysis. Beyond this, you will be able to personalise your programme through a wide range of employment-relevant module choices.
Choose modules from a range of areas, including:
- Machine Learning
- Natural Language Processing
- Interactive Systems Design
- Data Analytics using Python and its associated libraries for data wrangling and Machine Learning
- The development of human/computer communications (dialogue systems)
- You will devise and carry out a major dissertation, which you can do in collaboration with an industrial partner.
During your industry placement, you will learn to apply key technical knowledge and skills from your taught modules in the workplace; enhancing your employment potential and understanding where you need to improve. You will secure the placement yourself with support from the Placement Team. This module is only open to students enrolled on the programme of study with integrated placement.
