Computational Engineering Msc in Queen Mary University of London, UK
Computational Engineering Msc in Queen Mary University of London
Computer simulation is one of the strongest growing fields in engineering. Virtual prototyping, based on the numerical analysis of structures, fluids and many other disciplines, has become absolutely central to the industrial design and analysis process.
On this MSc course, you can choose to study modules that align with your background and your choice of specialism.
You’ll learn advanced skills in the computational modelling of structures and fluids. You’ll also be introduced to programming and numerical algorithms.
One particular strength of the course is its broad teaching of numerical optimisation, a topic of significant industrial interest.
You can choose to specialise in either aeronautical, mechanical, chemical or sustainable energy engineering and take advanced modules in that field.
You’ll then apply your numerical analysis skills to an engineering problems in your specialism, in order to complete your MSc project. You’ll be supervised by one of our research staff and have access to our excellent facilities, enabling you to conduct cutting edge research that can lead to publication at scientific conferences and in peer-reviewed journals.
The School benefits from generous research funding in all our specialist areas, reflecting our strong research links with companies such as Airbus, Alstom and Rolls Royce.
