Biomaterials Msc in Queen Mary University of London
On this MSc, you’ll learn about the function and application of biomaterials, their characteristics and their surface, physical and mechanical properties. You’ll also study materials and medicine-based modules, as well as those written specifically for this degree. The course is interdisciplinary in nature and involves a combination of theoretical and practical approaches.
Your research project forms a significant part of your degree. It provides you with an excellent opportunity to take part in the internationally leading research that takes place within the School of Engineering and Materials Science (SEMS). You’ll join one of our research teams and work on a biomaterials project, supervised by a member of academic staff.
Your project might include work on the development of artificial skin, vascular and cardiovascular implants and devices, bone graft substitutes, new prosthetic devices, dental materials, biosensors, or controlled drug delivery.
