About Zoology Msci in Queen's University Belfast
The MSci Zoology with Professional studies enables students to develop knowledge and understanding of:
Concepts and theories from the molecular and cellular levels through to the whole-organism.
The principles and study of animals from the molecular to the community level.
The importance of zoonotic diseases.
Practical laboratory skills to investigate and manipulate biological material including relevant physical, chemical and biological measurements and their application in a research project.

Academic qualification equivalents
- The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.
An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS: 6.5 minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
- TOEFL iBT : 90 with minimum marks as follows: Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20,Writing - 17
- PTE: 62 overall with minimum of 51 in each component
