Environmental and Civil Engineering is concerned with the impact of infrastructure on the natural environment. It encompasses planning, design, construction, sustainability and management of the built environment. Fields of activity include water engineering, waste management, structures, transportation and foundations. Environmental engineers require not only technical skills but also project management and communication skills.

Civil Engineering was one of the founding degrees at Queen's, making it one of the oldest in the UK and Ireland. Staff are leading high-quality research and are recognised for their excellence in teaching.

• The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.

An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).

English language requirements (one of the below):

•  IELTS: 6.5 minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
• TOEFL iBT : 90 with minimum marks as follows:  Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20,Writing - 17
• PTE: 62 overall with minimum of 51 in each component
