This degree aims to give you a sound knowledge of information technology fundamentals, their application in business, as well as a firm foundation in business management. This allows our graduates to address a growing global need for capable and confident leaders, perfect for business environments.
The School of EEECS has links with over 500 IT local, national and international companies. We benefit from the fact that there are more software companies located in Northern Ireland than in any other part of the UK, outside of London. Belfast’s burgeoning FinTech industry and start-up scene increases demand for experienced and well-rounded graduates every year.
Collaboration and communication are fundamental skills that students must learn to be successful, not only in this degree but in industry.

Academic qualification equivalents
- The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.
An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS: 6.5 minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
- TOEFL iBT : 90 with minimum marks as follows: Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20,Writing - 17
- PTE: 62 overall with minimum of 51 in each component
