About Broadcast Production BA in Queen's University Belfast

Broadcast Production is an intensely practical, industry aware degree, designed in collaboration with BBC Northern Ireland and other local broadcasters. This pathway is for those interested in careers in programme-making for television, radio, journalism, and other new and emerging digital media platforms. This degree aims to introduce you to the widest possible experience of modern broadcasting combined with critical thinking and excellent online skills. Whether it is for online or live, in front or behind the camera or microphone, you will gain substantial practical skills supported by the kind of theoretical and critical skills employers tell us they want in new entrants to the Creative Industries.

• The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.

An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).

English language requirements (one of the below):

•  IELTS: 6.5 minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
• TOEFL iBT : 90 with minimum marks as follows:  Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20,Writing - 17
• PTE: 62 overall with minimum of 51 in each component
