About Architecture in Queen's University Belfast
Queen's University, as part of the Russell Group, is one of the best places to study Architecture in the UK. In the 2018 Guardian League Table, Queen's Architecture was ranked 7th Overall in the UK of 49 schools. In the 2019 Guardian Table of 55 schools of architecture, we were ranked 4th for Added Value and (joint) 6th for Career after six months. In 2019, we were ranked (joint) 2nd for Graduate Prospects and 8th Overall in the UK of 55 schools in the Complete University Guide.
Supported by a diverse group of academic staff and external tutors engaged in international, award-winning research and practice, over 75 per cent of our students regularly graduate with a 1st Class or 2.1 degree. All students, many of whom come from outside Northern Ireland, receive a high degree of personal tuition in a strong studio culture in which every student has dedicated personal studio space.

Academic qualification equivalents
- The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to our Bachelor degree programmes.
An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A Level).
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS: 6.5 minimum of 5.5 in all four elements of the test
- TOEFL iBT : 90 with minimum marks as follows: Listening - 17,Reading - 18,Speaking - 20,Writing - 17
- PTE: 62 overall with minimum of 51 in each component
