About Design BA (hons) in Oxford Brookes University

Our innovative Design degree is centred around design and making. Using digital and non-digital technologies the course brings together:

• architecture
• product design
• fine art.

We will support you as you develop your own identity as a designer. You will explore entrepreneurial, socially responsible, sustainable ideas. And gain cutting-edge digital-making and entrepreneurial skills that ready you to enter a design role with confidence.

You will learn to develop a project from an initial idea to a 1:1 prototype. You’ll do this using:

• hand drawing
• physical modelling
• computational design
• digital fabrication techniques.

You’ll have 24/7 access to our purpose-designed studios in our RIBA National Award-winning building.

You can expect to work on a range of design projects including large scale specialist fabrication packages and user-focused products. You will also undertake a 10-week placement with a ‘live’ design project which will provide real world content for your portfolio.

Higher secondary academic level qualification/ Higher Secondary School Certificate/Standard XII standard with at least 65%  from recognised University in India Or  recommend that one of your equivalent subjects like Art, Design, Design and Technology, Textiles or a closely related subject.. IELTS 6.0-7.0, with 6.0 in reading and writing, and 5.5 in listening and speaking
