About MA English Language Teaching in Nottingham Trent University
This course is designed for experienced English as a Foreign Language teachers, who are seeking opportunities to enhance their professional development and career opportunities.
The profile of course participants is very international, including most recently Japan, China, Taiwan, Korea, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Mexico, Poland, Switzerland and the UK.
We also run MA TESOL if you have little or no prior English language teaching experience (less than two years).

Although this course does not offer a formal placement, it is a vocationally focused course which aims to help you to achieve an English Language teaching post in your chosen country.

Postgraduate Student Conference
One of the highlights of the academic year is the Postgraduate Student Conference. This provides you with the opportunity to present your English Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics Research Project. You will be able to discuss your research design and key issues, and gather feedback from your peers and academic staff.

Nottingham Trent University Admission Procedure
- Application: The UG applications are accepted through ‘Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS)’ and PG applications through the ‘NTU applicant portal’.
- Application fee: One needs to pay £13 for 1 UG course and £24 for multiple UG courses.
- Application deadlines: For UG students the last date to apply is June 30, 2019. The PG programs don’t have any official deadline, however, it is better to apply one month prior to course start date.
- General requirements: Completed application form, academic transcripts, and English proficiency tests.
- Additional requirements: Birth certificate, passport copy, LOR.
English Proficiency Test: Majority of the courses require IELTS score ranging between 6.0 and 6.0 for entry. However, other equivalent English test scores are also acceptable.
