We’ve packed our programme with valuable experiences to add to your portfolio. Like our second-year competition, with the winners attending the EMCup in Maastrich to compete against hospitality students from 40 European universities.

Our industry partners are always visiting us to give talks or looking for students to work with them at events or on placement. You could shadow the event coordinator for a 600-person ball at The Principal. Or work with the HR team at Hotel Gotham. Or the finance team at the Lowry. The only limit is how much time you can spare!

Academia meets the real world
We make sure you get a good mix of classroom work and practical sessions. One day you might be learning about operations in a lecture, the next you might be on a tour of a kitchen with the head chef. There are plenty of opportunities to learn practical skills. Take our food product development lab, for example. Here you’ll learn all about menus, food waste and sustainability, and the cost implications of homegrown vs bought-in products.
