The digital age has revolutionised how engineers operate. Gone are the days when you could work with just a calculator, a piece of paper and a design chart. You will develop your expertise using building information modelling software systems that include Revit and Navisworks.
Whether you graduated from our BSc (Hons) course or already work in industry as an associate engineer, we will equip you with the skills to play a leading role in the design, installation and management of building services.
Sustainability and the carbon reduction in buildings are a key issues around the world and these themes will be central to your work. You will learn about intelligent buildings and automation, and you will develop your knowledge of environmental science and the latest systems and innovation in energy conservation.
We will improve your technical engineering capabilities so that you can take responsibility for building services and mechanical installations. You will also focus on areas such as project responsibility, lighting design, heating, thermal comfort, air conditioning, cooling systems, acoustic comfort and electrical services.
