About Msc Applied Data Science in Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh
Our Applied Data Science Masters programme is for you if you want to learn how to take data-driven decisions and practice your skills in a wide range of applications. The programme simultaneously focusses on the statistical foundations of data science and and its applications in different areas of industry and research. It will provide you with a strong theoretical understanding of the results and techniques required to perform analysis of data and make decisions based on data. It will also give you an opportunity to apply these techniques in applications ranging from signal and image processing, communications, and robotics, to finance, ecology and complex networks.
This is a joint MSc programme between the Schools of Mathematical and Computer Sciences and Engineering and Physical Sciences. The two Schools have a multidisciplinary staff team with strong expertise in Data Science and is various applications.
