Fossil-based fuels such as gas and oil continue to play a significant role in today’s global energy market. This degree encompasses a range of technologies from oil and gas production, through to renewable resources

Programme Structure

This 5 year programme shares a common first 3 years with the BEng Chemical Engineering, with specialist topics being introduced in years 4 and 5. Final year students undertake a commercial tender exercise, working in multi-disciplinary groups to take on the role of a design house pitching for business to our industrial advisory board.

This programme also offers the chance to study for The Diploma in Industrial Training (DIT) which allows students the chance to work in the chemical and process industry before completing their final year(s) of study. 

Academic qualification equivalents

• Students who have successfully completed Standard XII examinations will be considered for entry onto our undergraduate degrees across the full disciplinary spectrum.
