This course:

• is accredited by the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• is endorsed by the College of Paramedics
• is designed around a spiral curriculum, recommended by the College of Paramedics, which allows learners to incorporate knowledge, skills, and behaviors to enable them to develop effectively from year one where students will be able to demonstrate competence, to year three where students will be able to autonomously assess and create holistic treatment plans for service users based on sound decision making and evidence-based practice.
• can improve student’s employability and future employment prospects within emergency and urgent healthcare whether on an emergency ambulance or other healthcare setting.
• in partnership with WAST, includes placements on ambulances responding to emergency and urgent care cases on shifts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week across North Wales, which are supported by Practice Educators. There will also be alternative emergency and urgent healthcare placements throughout the course to expand the learner’s understanding of the wider provision of health and social care in Wales.

Academic qualification equivalents

•  India Standard XII – 65% minimum from all state boards.
  •    Diploma from the State Board of Technical Education with 60% minimum (including MEng).
  •    International Baccalaureate Diploma with 28 points or more.

You may be eligible for advanced entry onto the second year of a degree programme if you have a three or four year diploma. However, this will be decided on a case-by-case basis and the content of the course which you have previously been studying will need to closely match that of the course which you are applying for.

English language requirements

• IELTS Academic:6.0 (with no individual skill score below 5.5)
• TOEFL-iBT Minimum Overall: 79 With no individual test score below

              Listening: 17,Reading: 18,Speaking: 20,Writing: 21

• PTE Academic:54 (with no less than 51 for individual skill scores)
