About Bsc (hons) Nutrition And Dietetics in Glyndwr University, Wrexham

This course is brand new to North Wales and has a fresh design that incorporates the latest digital technologies and platforms to deliver state of the art simulated and real-world learning experiences.

The course:

• Will work closely with local partners within health, social care and industry to offer student dietitians an inclusive, supportive and enjoyable university experience that is unique to the North Wales area.
• Provides an exciting opportunity to blend the traditional approaches with the latest digital, social and commercial technologies and approaches available at Wrexham Glyndŵr University.
• Delivers academic teaching and learning combined with clinical and practical placements over the three years of study to provide students with a variety of opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills and achieve the necessary competence to become registered practitioners.
• Gives students the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in nutrition and dietetics through close collaboration with local industries in food production, catering and sport and exercise science.
• Offers graduates the eligibility for registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Accredited by the British Dietetic Association (BDA)*.

Academic qualification equivalents

•  India Standard XII – 65% minimum from all state boards.
  •    Diploma from the State Board of Technical Education with 60% minimum (including MEng).
  •    International Baccalaureate Diploma with 28 points or more.

You may be eligible for advanced entry onto the second year of a degree programme if you have a three or four year diploma. However, this will be decided on a case-by-case basis and the content of the course which you have previously been studying will need to closely match that of the course which you are applying for.

English language requirements

• IELTS Academic:6.0 (with no individual skill score below 5.5)
• TOEFL-iBT Minimum Overall: 79 With no individual test score below

              Listening: 17,Reading: 18,Speaking: 20,Writing: 21

• PTE Academic:54 (with no less than 51 for individual skill scores)
