About Bsc (hons) Nursing Studies (adult) in Glasgow Caledonian University
Adult nursing is a dynamic, rewarding and highly skilled caring and compassionate career. You will develop diverse skills ranging from the delivery of health education for individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds to delivering complex care for people with multiple acute or long term conditions.
This programme aims to develop nurses who are able to deliver person-centred, safe and effective care, working with other professions and agencies in an ever-changing and complex healthcare environment.
You will experience a variety of clinical placements and will learn using a diverse range of techniques and approaches. You will undertake clinical practice for 50% of the course, in community and hospital placements as well as independent and voluntary sector experience.
During placements, students are involved in nursing activities including providing care for a range of patients relevant to their chosen nursing pathway.

Your career
On successful completion of the programme, graduates are eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Graduates are equipped to apply for a wide range of positions in the NHS, working closely with patients, clients, service users and carers, and also leading in management and research.
Higher Secondary level including English and preferably a science subject, plus Ordinary Level Maths .
