Why Tourism, events and Leisure by Research?
The MSc by Research in the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences aims to develop researchers who are conceptually aware, who can utilise a range of skills and methods, and who can practise and develop their own research capabilities, and disseminate that research in a meaningful way.
The GELT section within the School of Human and Life Sciences has an active group of graduate scholars studying for masters and doctoral degrees. Our staff cover a range of subjects within events, leisure, tourism and hospitality, and have close links to geography, business studies and other areas of scholarship in the university. The team includes nationally and internationally renowned scholars, consultants to and trainers of local industry, and members of the key professional bodies. It is a stimulating, challenging and rewarding environment in which to take forward your studies beyond degree level.
