Why MSc by Research in Environmental Geography?
The MSc by Research in Environmental Geography, within the Faculty of Social and Applied Sciences, aims to develop researchers who are conceptually aware, who can utilise a range of cartographic and computing skills and methods, and who can practise and develop their own research capabilities, and disseminate that research in a meaningful way.

What will i study?
Students from across our MSc by Research subject areas share a programme of study that explores the challenges common to all researchers. Students undertake an individual research project that will take the form of a thesis (25,000-30,000 words).
Full-Time students will have 12 months to complete their research, while part-time students will have 24 months to complete. Upon successful completion of the thesis, you will be awarded an MSc by Research in your subject area.
