- Strength and conditioning
- Clinical exercise science (this pathway is REPS accredited)
Work placement and practical classes are a core part of this programme.
This programme may lead into postgraduate study including a Master of Science (Sport and Exercise Science).
What you'll learn
The Graduate Diploma is comprised of 1 compulsory and 7 elective modules totalling a minimum of 120 credits. Each candidate's final module selection must be signed-off by the programme co-ordinator, prior to enrolment.
Biokinetic Clinic
Located at our Centre for Sport Science and Human Performance, the Biokinetic Clinic is unique with only a handful of its kind in the country. The clinic provides a specialised exercise prescription for individuals living with chronic conditions, or those recovering muscular-skeletal injuries and provides our degree and postgraduate students real work experience in a teaching clinic that supports the professional development of Clinical Exercise Physiologists.
Having access to clients before completion of their studies gives our students real-life experience that is invaluable to their professional development. Not only will they graduate with the technical knowledge, they will also be skilled in the areas of clinical life that only comes from practice.
Career/further opportunities
The Graduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise Science may lead to employment as an exercise consultant, exercise therapist or a rehabilitation coach.
