About Bachelor Of Science (hons) Digital Healthcare in Letterkenny Institute of Technology
This is a multidisciplinary degree which has been developed by the Departments of Computing and Nursing and Healthcare with input from the Departments of Law and Humanities and Business Studies. This programme will help students develop their understanding of how ICT is being used to improve healthcare.
They will learn about computer systems, healthcare models, healthcare regulation and compliance, ethics, law, economic models, artificial intelligence, data analytics, physiology, programming, app development and systems design.
For example wearable devices and apps that monitor exercise, sleep patterns, etc., are becoming increasingly common. They help people monitor and adjust their lifestyle choices.
