Essential Information:
- Year one of the course is common with the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Environmental Management and is based at our GMIT Mountbellew campus (four days per week) and at our Galway campus (Dublin road) one day per week. At the end of year one, students can choose whether they wish to pursue the Bachelor of Business in Rural Enterprise and Agri-business or the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Environmental Management.
- Year two is based at our GMIT Mountbellew campus (three days per week) and at our Galway campus (Dublin road) two days per week.
- Students must do a three-month industry work placement in year two working in an agri business.
- Students reside at Mountbellew for the first two years.
- Year three is spent at the GMIT Galway campus.
- On successful completion of years 1 and 2 of the programme students may apply to Teagasc for a letter of equivalence to a QQI Green Cert (Specific Purpose Certificate in Farm Business Administration).
