Work Placement
Formal work placement (minimum of 15 weeks) is an integral element of the course and takes place in Year 3.
Accounting graduates obtain employment in areas such as banking, computing, insurance or general management. Many graduates obtain positions as accounting trainees, completing professional accountancy examinations on a part-time basis while in employment.
Leaving Cert Subjects:
Helpful subjects are Accounting, Business, and Economics.
Course summary
If you would like a broad range of business topics, with the opportunity to choose a specialism such as Business or Accounting or Marketing at a later stage, you should apply for CR 021.
Academic qualification equivalents
- Class 12 passed students from a recognized board including CBSE, CISCE or a state board
- All India Senior School Certificate or Higher Secondary Certificate/Standard 12 or Indian School Certificate (Year 12) as recognized qualifications
English language requirements (one of the below):
- IELTS 6.5 overall (6.0 for Business programmes)
- IELTS 5.5 in all four components (listening, reading, speaking and writing)
- PTE 60 (63 for integrated programmes)
- PTE 55 in all four components (listening, reading, speaking and writing)
